Baker’s Bay

Luxury Resort Community

The Problem

High fuel costs; no grid connection

Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club is the Bahamas’ most exclusive, members-only club community. The property spans over 585-acres, has three restaurants, a spa and wellness center, and residences. The resort was producing their own power with onsite generators running on diesel fuel, using more than 20,000 megawatt-hours of power each year. With diesel costs rising, they began looking for alternative energy options to meet increasing demand and an objective to operate using clean, affordable energy.

That’s why we partnered with them to provide an LNG solution just eight months after contract signing. Our fast-track, turnkey, safe solution, allowed the resort to significantly reduce their carbon emissions and fuel costs.

The Solution

Generator conversion to LNG: flexible, off-grid power generation
