As LNG adoption continues to grow within the maritime industry, ports and vessel operators require experienced partners capable of safely and reliably delivering fuel. Executing the first-ever shore-to-ship LNG bunkering operation at Port Everglades, a top three busiest cruise homeport in the world, required detailed planning, extensive safety oversight, and seamless coordination to ensure every aspect of the fueling operation met the highest operational standards while not delaying the cruise line.

Sawgrass was a natural fit for the project. Beyond a proven record of delivering fuel safely, Sawgrass is the closest liquefaction facility to Port Everglades located just miles from the port, giving the customer unmatched security of supply. Sawgrass is the largest exporter of U.S. LNG via ISO container, exporting daily from South Florida ports, making shore-to-ship bunkering at Port Everglades a direct extension of our core capability.

Through integrated logistics, operational expertise, and a commitment to safety, the team completed the LNG transfer efficiently while establishing a new capability for one of Florida's busiest ports that will lend itself to many future opportunities.
